LET US MAKE HEALTH EQUAL!

In the UK, it is a stark reality that individuals residing in the most deprived communities are passing away a whole decade earlier than those in the most affluent areas. Shockingly, the data shows that these health disparities are worsening.

1 in 6 children in parts of the South West live in poverty and over 25% of people do not have enough money to live well. Air pollution in the parts of the South West is too high, breaching the World Health Organisation’s health levels.

Because of things like income, air quality, and housing, where you were born – can cut your life short by up to 16 years.

HOW DOES LIFE EXPECTANCY COMPARE ACROSS THE UK?

The national average is 81 years.

Birkenhead (CH41) – 74 years:
Manchester (M14) – 80:
Edinburgh (EH21) – 81:
Cardiff (CF6) – 82:
Plymouth (PL8) – 84:
Kensington (W8) – 90
