Businesses such as fast food retailers, sandwich bars, care homes and retailers are being urged to start preparing for a ban on certain single-use plastic items, due to come into force on 1 October.
The ban will include single-use plastic plates, trays, bowls, cutlery, balloon sticks, and certain types of polystyrene cups and food containers.
